Wyrick Ranch T-Rex Excavation, Fallon County, Mont.: 5/10/04--5/28/04
Shot with an early-model digital camera, complete with pause/delay shutter and very small memory card, that I borrowed from my brother.
I also used a film camera on the dig, but learned to appreciate the electronic advantage of digital as the dig team maintained a real-time web site: http://www.unearthingtrex.com/
Film pictures didn't cut it for the web. We were too far out in the country to be able to have them processed, and then they would have had to be scanned to upload to the site. But, my modest little digital pictures also didn't produce good print pictures.
Besides the discoveries at the dig, I discovered I needed a professional-grade single-lens reflex digital camera.
